About The Official Contractor

Hi, there.

Welcome to The Official Contractor! Before getting started, I don’t want to bore yous and bark-off all the credentials, awards, plaques, and various other jibba-babba, blah, blah,.. that says I am a CONSTRUCTION JESUS (I meant GENIUS!) and I know what I’m talking about.  Most of the time I don’t.

I just want to say that I’m a licensed builder from Michigan and I know a few things about the trades.  I won’t mince details about past experiences and what works…

Now. Enough about me.  I maintain a “semi-mysterious” personality, because I am a practicing contractor in the field who happens to love being a small business owner. 🙂

In order to speak as I wish, being anonymous is necessary.  I don’t want any of my clients and customers to be misinterpreting MY STUFF!  😉

Enuff! about me again.  This site is built for contractors who want to find the best relevant information related to their crafts. I hope to offer encouragement, enlightenment, and humor as you navigate through the construction & remodeling trades.  Photo: jennyreviews.com

I’ll try to include complete, up-to-date advice in regards to builders, handymen, contractors, and home improvement professionals.  If not, I’ll put you in touch with somebody who does that!

Mebby you can teach me sumthin?!  I am all willin’ to learn from others and be yer friend.  Let me know if I fumbled the ball.  I’ll pick it back up~!

This is your guide through the maze of pricing your work, getting new clients, and keeping your sanity throughout the process OF CONTRACTING.

Talk to yeh soon.

I wish there was a Q&A here. It looks like a great blog.
The question I have now is why, when a contractor does a a poor job, and he knows the customer is unhappy, does he leave all his tools and never pick them up? This has happened twice.

The guy is probably scared of the confrontation with you. I would be happy to answer any question you may have regarding this disaster. Twice? Really? I”ll send you an email shortly, Kathy.
